Author Career Privacy Policy

Author Career is a single-player writing career simulation game for iOS. This policy explains what information the app stores and how it is used.

Information We Collect

Author Career does not require an account, login, email address, phone number, or real name. The app does not ask you to submit personal information to play.

Local Game Data

The app stores game progress locally on your device using a local database. This may include your in-game author name, career progress, money, fans, skills, book titles, published book history, settings, and other gameplay state.

This save data is used only to run the game and restore your progress. It is not sent to the developer or to an external server by the current version of the app.

Analytics, Ads, and Tracking

Where enabled, Author Career uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand app usage, including active users, sessions, app opens, viewed game screens and navigation flow, device and app diagnostics, and a small set of coarse gameplay events such as automatic career creation and resets, job selection, book starts, completed weeks, fixed career-progression checkpoints, career-ending outcomes, draft completion, release setup, book publishing, shop purchases by category, and ad displays. Firebase associates this information with a pseudonymous app-instance identifier so aggregate new-user cohorts can be measured. Screen names use fixed labels; the app does not set an account identifier or local career identifier as an analytics user ID, and neither screen views nor analytics events include your in-game author name, book titles, local career identifier, full save file, or local database contents.

On iOS, you can turn off Share Usage Analytics in the app's Settings screen at any time. Turning it off stops future Firebase Analytics collection from Author Career. The choice is stored on your device, remains in effect after a career reset, and does not change your separate advertising privacy choices. Turning analytics off does not delete aggregate analytics information that was sent before you opted out.

Author Career may show interstitial ads through Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads. AdMob may use demand from AppLovin, Meta Audience Network, and Liftoff Monetize through bidding or waterfall mediation. These ads may appear between gameplay moments, such as after a weekly summary or similar transition.

Where ads are enabled, advertising partners may collect or receive information such as device identifiers available without cross-app tracking permission, app interaction information, ad interaction information, approximate location derived from your device or network, and diagnostic information. This data may be used to show ads, limit ad frequency, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and improve ad delivery. Author Career requests non-personalized ads.

Author Career does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission and does not use Firebase Analytics data to enable ad-personalization signals. Google User Messaging Platform is used where required to gather advertising consent. The app shows an Ad Privacy Options control when Google reports that your region requires ongoing access to those choices.

Advertising partners may process ad-related data according to their own privacy practices. You can learn more from Google, AppLovin, Meta, and Liftoff.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Local gameplay save data is not sent to the developer. Google may receive the analytics information described above to provide analytics reports. Google, AppLovin, Meta, and Liftoff may receive the advertising information described above to provide, select, secure, and measure interstitial ads, subject to their own privacy practices.

Children's Privacy

Author Career is designed for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Deleting Data

You can reset your career in the app settings, where available. You can also delete local app data by uninstalling the app from your device. Resetting a career does not reset your analytics preference. Uninstalling removes both local game data and the locally stored analytics preference, but neither action deletes analytics information that was previously sent to Google. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy when the app changes. The latest version will be posted at this page with an updated date.
