Author Career Privacy Policy

Author Career is a single-player writing career simulation game for iOS and Android. This policy explains what information the app stores and how it is used.

Information We Collect

Author Career does not require an account, login, email address, phone number, or real name. The app does not ask you to submit personal information to play.

Local Game Data

The app stores game progress locally on your device using a local database. This may include your in-game author name, career progress, money, fans, skills, book titles, published book history, settings, and other gameplay state.

This save data is used only to run the game and restore your progress. It is not sent to the developer or to an external server by the current version of the app.

Analytics, Ads, and Tracking

Where enabled, Author Career uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand app usage, including active users, sessions, app opens, device and app diagnostics, and a small set of coarse gameplay events such as career starts, completed weeks, book publishing, shop purchases by category, and ad displays. These analytics events do not include your in-game author name, book titles, full save file, or local database contents.

Author Career may show interstitial ads through third-party advertising partners, including Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads if enabled in the app. On iOS, these ads may appear between gameplay moments, such as after a weekly summary or similar transition. In the phase 1 Android release, ads are disabled at runtime and should not be requested or shown unless Android monetization is enabled in a later version.

Where ads are enabled, advertising partners may collect or receive information such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers where permitted by your device settings and consent choices, app interaction information, ad interaction information, approximate location derived from your device or network, and diagnostic information. This data may be used to show ads, limit ad frequency, measure ad performance, prevent fraud, and improve ad delivery. Where ads are enabled, Author Career currently requests non-personalized ads by default.

If personalized ads or cross-app tracking are used on platforms that require a tracking permission, the app will request that permission before tracking occurs. If you do not allow tracking, ads may still be shown where ads are enabled, but they should not be personalized using cross-app tracking data.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information. Local gameplay save data is not sent to the developer. Google may receive the analytics and advertising information described above to provide analytics reports and, where ads are enabled, to provide and measure interstitial ads, subject to Google's own privacy practices.

Children's Privacy

Author Career is designed for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Deleting Data

You can reset your career in the app settings, where available. You can also delete local app data by uninstalling the app from your device.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy when the app changes. The latest version will be posted at this page with an updated date.
